The ideal “between seasons” yarn, Katia Cotton-Merino is an all-natural blend of cotton and extrafine merino wool.

Cotton-Merino offers all the warmth and breathability of merino wool but at the same time is light and airy. How? Its secret lies in its structure – Cotton-Merino is a “blown” yarn, meaning that its fibres are blown into a mesh core to form the strand, rather than being twisted around each other. That makes this yarn cosy, durable and lightweight – and less likely to split as you knit it! It also gives the yarn a gorgeous fuzzy “halo”, making it the ideal choice for a quick cute scarf project, or to create a stylish statement sweater.

• Recommended needle size: 4.5 – 5mm (US 7-8)
• Composition: 70% cotton, 30% extrafine merino wool
• 50g (1.8oz) = 105m (115yd)
• Estimated gauge: 16 stitches + 23 rows of stockinette stitch on a 4.5mm needle gives a 10cm x 10cm square
• Machine washable at 30°C in a delicate cycle, do not tumble dry
