Knit School: A Hat in the Round

Description

Ok, so you’re not a beginner any more… But what do you do next?

This 4-week workshop will take your beginner knitting skills up a gear! Your new challenge is a hat, knitted in the round so you don’t need to sew it together when it’s done. Along the way, we’ll cover some new knitting skills including the purl stitch, how to work seamlessly in the round on circular needles, understanding the pattern and shaping with decreases. You might even have time to make a pompom for the top!

Your classes will take place in my beautiful studio space in central Dublin on four consecutive weeks, with each session lasting 2 hours. I keep the group small (max. 4 students) to ensure you’ll get plenty of help, and all materials are provided.

Please note that this is an improver level workshop, so I will assume everyone knows how to do the knit stitch already. If you’re not at that stage just yet, I recommend my Knitting for Newbies course instead.

• Payment for this course is collected at time of booking.
• All of the materials and tools you’ll need to complete the project are provided. The majority are included in the course fee and are yours to keep. However, some of the tools will only be used for a short time, and in this case these items will be loaned with the option to purchase separately if the student wishes.
• The class fee is refundable up to 24 hours before the scheduled start date of your course.
• The class timetable is as described above. No alternative scheduling or partial refund will be offered in the case of one or more missed session(s).
• Sorry, but my classes aren’t for children! These courses are open to adults only.
• My studio is located on the first floor of an old building without a lift, and is therefore unfortunately not accessible to wheelchair users or those with limited mobility. Please consider this when making your booking.
• The studio building is home to a beautiful and charming cat, who lives there full-time. If you have allergies or just aren’t a cat person, please let me know so I can accommodate you.
