This soft, springy, 100% merino wool DK weight yarn comes with a great pedigree – Katia sources it from Arles in France, a region with more than two centuries of tradition and expertise in Merino sheep breeding.
Arles Merino is mulesing-free and is certified by UPRA, the French organisation responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Merino d’Arles breed. These sheep are prized for their fine, lightweight fleeces, which produce a yarn that is warm, durable and delightfully squishable. Available in a range of soft, gentle colours, it’s perfect for creating heirloom garments that you’ll love to wear again and again.
- Recommended needle size: 4-4.5mm (US 6-7)
- Composition: 100% virgin wool, superwash treated
- 50g (1.75oz) = 100m (109yd)
- Estimated gauge: 18 stitches + 26 rows of stockinette stitch on a 4.5mm needle gives a 10cm x 10cm square
- Machine washable at 30°C in a delicate cycle, do not tumble dry
